Alex Thomas had a feeling 2018 would be anything but ordinary – and she was right.
In February, Alex Thomas was named the 2018 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award winner for South Australia, winning a $10,000 bursary to help her launch the #PlantASeedForSafety campaign.
The work health and safety initiative aims to reduce injuries and prevent deaths across a range of primary industries including farming, fisheries, aquaculture and forestry through community advocacy and social media.
“Winning the 2018 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award for South Australia has been an incredibly enriching experience,” Ms Thomas said.
